On a whim after praying one day, I was inspired to try and mesh together two of my favorite desserts; peach cobbler and pound cake. On my first attempt, I knew I messed it up because I accidentally added too much flour to the batter. Despite the mistake, I pressed forward to bake this delectable treat. Once finished, I sliced up the cake and gave it away to some of my closest friends and family members. This was going to be interesting because each of them are self-made cooks. I patiently waited for the reviews and to my surprise, they were very satisfied! Only the superior of palates noticed the cake was a little dehydrated. However, the flavor more than made up for it. Each person quickly requested another sampling. At this point, I knew I was on to something great.... and thus the birth of Carter's Cobbler Cakes!
